  Just got a new cartoon book: The Cartoonist’s Workbook. Plenty of good material here. Here is my first exercise. I tried to draw a number of different expressions:

I was up in Boulder this week. We got a couple of inches of snow, but it was gone in a few hours. I flew there on Frontier, and flew back the morning they announced Bankruptcy…. luckily no flights were canceled.

• Potbelly’s at the airport serves Irish steel cut oatmeal. How fun! #
• I just saw my friend Michelle at the airport. I feel so jet set. #
• I just saw they have wild cherry m&ms out. They look a little weird, I wonder if they are any good. #

So I came across these drawing and had to try to copy them. I had a lot of trouble scanning them in though. The first version is the original scan and the second one is after I tried to remove the background. This is the original inspiration.
