I finally fixed gmail on my blackberry. I had upgraded gmail and it stopped working. I got message saying “this program requires a working data connectiom. Blah, blah, blah”. Turns out that I somehow setup the firewall permissions to block google when the message popups up to check. I must have set it so it wouldn’t check again.

Going to Options-Advanced Settings-Applications-Gmail-Reset Firewall Permissions fixed everything. It only took 3 months for me to figure this out. The gmail app is much better than webpage and it is good to have it back.
